Ruth Buscombe is one of Formula 1’s most respected race strategists, now working with the Formula 1 Group as an analyst, commentator and presenter. With a background in engineering and data analysis, she brings world-class expertise in race strategy, helping audiences understand the split-second decisions that shape outcomes on track. A first-class graduate of the University of Cambridge’s Department of Engineering, Ruth began her career in F1 with Scuderia Ferrari. At Ferrari, she worked in both simulations and race strategy, contributing to key victories – including Sebastian Vettel’s first win for the team at the 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix.

She now advises on performance, data, and leadership in high-stakes environments and sees huge parallels in the way financial firms need to adapt.

As CEO of Allica, Richard heads up one of the UK’s fastest-growing SME banks. Under his leadership, Allica Bank has achieved remarkable success, winning the Deloitte Fast 50 award for the fastest-growing company in the UK in 2023 and 2024.

At Allica, Richard has focused on combining human expertise with cutting-edge technology. Rather than eliminating the human element to reduce costs, as many traditional banks have done, Allica has invested heavily in automating everything that sits behind that human interaction.
Before joining Allica, Richard was group COO at digital bank Revolut. Prior to that he was CEO of OakNorth and held leadership roles at TSB and HSBC.
